Firm Overview

Robert C. Kopple and Leslie S. Klinger have over 70 combined years of experience practicing law in Los Angeles within the areas of family wealth planning, business transactions, and taxation. For many of those years they practiced as partners in large Los Angeles law firms. In1992 they decided to form the boutique law firm of Kopple & Klinger, LLP.  The goal of establishing the firm was to allow them to provide individuals, families, and small business owners the same sophisticated services as the larger firms, but with the personal attention and efficiency of a small firm. Unlike the large law firms, many of which have virtually abandoned the practice of personal tax and estate planning and the representation of closely-held business owners, Kopple & Klinger, LLP has focused exclusively on these areas. In 2007, the firm admitted Douglas W. Schwartz and David J. Elbaz, previously associates at the firm, as new partners, and renewed its commitment to serve the legal needs of individuals and closely-held businesses for many years to come.
